All our garage door openers feature:
- Intelligent Sensitivity System (ISS) that immediately reacts to any door obstruction. Should the door come into contact with an obstruction it will immediately reverse back up. This minimises the risk of severe injury or harm to your loved ones, pets or property.
- The Dominator PG-3 Programmer will ensure the Dominator Team are able to quickly service your opener, upgrade firmware and advanced safety functions.
- Customisable Modes for operating your door under specific circumstances. Vacation mode will keep one transmitter active and block all others, giving you peace of mind while you are away. While the Pet and Pedestrian Mode provides limited opening for non-vehicle access.
- A new revolutionary coding system – Tri-Tran+™128 is a multi-frequency coding system. The Tri-Tran+™128 uses three frequencies as well as code hopping technology. This technology generates a new random code, enhancing security and reliability. By using three frequencies, your garage door opener will continue to function regardless of interference from other wireless devices in the area.

Additional Safety Features for your garage door opener
Your garage door is the largest moving item in your home, should it fail, it can cause serious injury or damage. With the safety of your family, pets and possessions in mind Dominator can add advanced safety features into our openers and garage doors.
Safety Beams
Infra-red safety beams are optional extras that are fitted to the opener. If the beam is broken while the door is closing, the door will automatically stop and reverse open. It is important that the door does not make contact with a child or pet should they run underneath the closing door. The infra-red safety beams ensure the door stops and reverses back up immediately when the beam is broken, giving peace of mind to the safety of your family.
Photoelectric beam sensors can be fitted to the Excel Roller Garage Door Openers allowing the auto-close mode to be activated.
Entry Keypad
Installing an Entry Keypad to your automatic garage door allows you to enter your garage without using a remote control. This is a great solution for kids, as they can gain access without needing to carry a remote. Perhaps you have the habit of misplacing your garage door remote or if you go for a run and don’t want to carry a remote control, you can have safe access to your garage. A simple solution providing practicality and convenience.
Rechargeable Battery Backup
Power outages or breaks in your power supply could leave you locked out of your garage. Losing access to your car, home or important items is a huge inconvenience even more so in the event of an emergency.
Installing a rechargeable battery backup, will ensure that you are always able to access your garage. The rechargeable battery fits inside your opener and gains charge when there is power to your opener. When electric power is interrupted to your opener, the battery backup immediately supplies power to the opener. The battery backup is able to complete up to 10 cycles before losing charge. It will take 24 hours to recharge the batteries.
Testing your battery back up on a monthly basis will ensure you are never left without access to your garage. The batteries have a lifespan of 4-5 years.
To test your battery back up, open the garage door using your remote control. While the door is moving, disconnect the power. The door should continue to open. Close the door, to complete the cycle, using the remote control. While the door is closing reconnect the power. While using the battery back up, the door should not stop or slow down.
Auto-LockTM.
Sectional Garage Doors with an automatic opener can now be fitted with an Auto-LockTM. Using your regular remote control, you can lock your Sectional Garage Door when you close it. The Auto-LockTM automatically slides a bolt into the guide track when the door is closed. You simply need to close the garage door to lock it. The Auto-LockTM provides a force that is more than double the required force needed to lift the garage door from a closed position. Protecting your loved ones and home with the click of a button.
Smart Phone Control Kit
We live in a time where you can make a cup of coffee or turn your lights on using your smartphone, so why not operate your garage door in the same way? With the Smart Phone Control Kit you can access your garage door 24/7 from anywhere in the world. You can receive notifications whenever your garage door is in use. The Smart Phone Control Kit is available for Apple and Android devices.
Multiple users can be added and access can be customised for one time access, time restricted access and general user access. Partial opening modes can be set to a desired height and controlled from your smartphone. This setting is perfect for receiving parcels when you are not home, the door opens high enough to receive a parcel yet restricts full access to your garage. Shortcut buttons for opening and closing your garage door can be set on your homescreen for easy access.
The Smart Phone Control app will know you when you are close to home and send you a notification to open your garage door. Multiple Administrators can be added ensuring you maintain full control should your smartphone be lost or damaged.
Siri users won’t need to open the Smart Phone Control app on their device, a simple ‘Hey Siri! Open my Garage Door’ will give you full voice activated control.
