TROUBLESHOOTING: MY GARAGE DOOR IS NOT OPENING

Step 1: Check for Low Battery

The most common reason for a garage door not opening is a low battery in the remote or wall button.

  1. Replace the battery in your remote or wall button.
  2. Test the door to see if it opens.

If the issue was due to a flat battery, the door should now work.

Step 2: Check for Auto-Lock Issues

If your door is equipped with an Auto-Lock, it may be stuck in the engaged position, preventing it from opening.

  1. Do not force the door open.
  2. Contact B&D to arrange for a qualified technician to fix the Auto-Lock issue.

Step 3: Check if the Door Has Slipped Off Its Guide Rails

Your garage door may not open if it has slipped off the guide rails. This can happen if springs or cables break, which could make the door unsafe to operate.

  1. Do not attempt to lift the door back onto the guide rails yourself.
  2. Springs or cables may be under high tension and could cause injury.
  3. Contact B&D to arrange a professional service.
